Baltimore City Maps
The collections of the George Peabody Library and the Government Publications and Maps Division (GPML) at the Eisenhower Library are rich sources for Baltimore City Maps. City directory maps, manuscript maps, tourist maps, and planning maps provide visual documentation of the city's growth. The holdings at the Peabody are largely of eighteenth and early-to-mid nineteenth century Baltimore. The Peabody also has a nearly complete set of city directory maps from 1828 to 1927.
GPML's map collection holdings focus primarily on the late nineteenth through the twentieth century.
The maps are listed chronologically, and many include images, either of the complete map or the cartouche. The location is noted for each map; those maps in GPML also include call numbers.
