Includes shape files for state, counties, zip codes, census tracts and block groups. Contains over fifty census variables from the 2000 and 1990 decennial census (SF 1A variables). Additional data included for: rivers, lakes, and major public landmarks. Foreign country boundaries are included with first level administrative units (i.e. state or province), along with selected demographic information, cites, and the World Wildlife Fund’s terrestrial and marine ecoregion boundaries.
GeoLytics Census on CD. Provides long form census data (SF 3A data -- income, occupation, education, and over 150 variables) down to the block group level. Shape files and data are easily exported for use in ArcGIS.
With the 2007 Edition the Census Bureau is now making TIGER/Line files availablein an Arc-GIS shape file format. TIGER/Line files include streets with address ranges, and all other census geographies. Download these files at http://www.census.gov/cgi-bin/geo/shapefiles/national-files Includes business location data (over 10 million records) with selected information on the business sales and number of employees. Also included are over 90 categories of consumer spending information (i.e. eating out, prescription drugs, clothing, entertainment) aggregated down to the block group level. Property ownership maps and data for Baltimore City and surrounding counties. Tables include property owner name, address, assessed value, improvements, year built, type of heat used and select structural characteristics, last property sale price, and SPOT satellite images at a ten meter resolution. Also included are state legislative and congressional district boundaries.
Includes over 200 neighborhood boundaries, detailed aerial photography, property parcel boundaries, building footprints, topography at ten and two foot contour intervals, edge of pavement boundaries, parks, police and city council member district boundaries.
High-resolution imagery for Baltimore City and parts of Baltimore and Anne Arundel Counties. Images are data 1998 and easily overlay other ArcGIS data. Resolution is at the one-meter level. In cooperation with the Maryland Geological Survey, library staff scanned the rectified aerial photography flown by the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in 1938 and 1955. These images are black and white at a scale of about 1:24,000
Government Publications/Maps/Law Library staff have scanned our entire holdings of Maryland County atlases published between 1876 and 1914. Only the Baltimore City 1876 atlas has been georeferenced.
Essentially images of the 1:100,000 and 1:24,000 USGS topographic maps.
Boundaries and demographic information from Gfk Marktforschung along with census like population variables. Data include household purchasing power and housing stock information. Level of geographic detail varies by country.
These are essentially a vector version of the 1:250,000 JOG topographic maps created by the U.S. Department of Defense. When completed there will be several hundred DVDs covering all areas of the world. Current coverage is limited. Vector files are configured to easily import into ArcGIS. (Gov. Pubs.
